Electric Womb

Marie's Electric Womb

It is 1789.

Marie (one of the Four Housewives of the Apocalypse), the French Revolutionary, has spent the day protesting the bread rations. She is an obedient wife and is fulfilling her biological duty by reproducing. Her womb is a big, wooden breadbox (breadbox, bread rations, bun in the oven.... this thought pattern is what happens when you mix mannequins and an english/art history degree).

To jolt you into the New Year, here is Marie's Electric Womb (in progress), coming to the Thames Art Gallery in March 2014.
